Spinning The Axis Of Evil: Iran And North Korea

by | 11th, May 2007

IRAN and North Korea have much in common:

  • Both are on George Bush’s Axis of Evil.
  • Both dislike America and the West.
  • North Korean TV’s Common Sense programme stressed the “negative effects” of long hair on “human intelligence development”, noting that long hair “consumes a great deal of nutrition” and could thus rob the brain of energy.

Iranian police have warned barbers against offering Western-style hair cuts or plucking the eyebrows of their male customers.

  • Both North Korean leader Kim Jong-il (platform shoes) and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suffer from chornic short man syndrome.
  • Both Kim Jong-il and Ahmadinejad like people to dress a certain way, mostly just like them.
  • Both Kim Jong-il and Ahmadinejad are men – women in North Korea and Iran have as much chance of being in power as they do of being seen out in anything but a leotard (North Korea) or a veil.

And now they want to friends. Which is nice. This from the wires:

TEHRAN — Iran and North Korea have agreed to step up bilateral contacts, an Iranian news agency said on Friday, signalling closer ties between two countries which were part of U.S. President George W. Bush’s “axis of evil”.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Manoucher Mottaki signed the agreement with visiting North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Yong-il on Thursday evening, the student news agency ISNA said.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s government “is interested in expanding ties with North Korea in the political, economical and cultural fields,” Mottaki was quoted as saying.
