KNOCK. Knock. Who’s there? It’s the police. No time to wait for an answer. They are already inside your house in Oldham. They’ve smashed the door in.

They are on the hunt for a wanted man. He lives in a house. But – never mind – not this house. The police leave a little message for the homeowners to consider when they return.

To show off their intellect and those rigorous recruitment procedures, the cops have used fridge magnets to spell “OLDHAM TASK FORCE CALLED“. Sadly, there are not enough letters remaining to conclude: “IF WE NEED YOU WE WILL CALL AGAIN.”

Says Aaron West, who lives in the home with his partner Leeanne Baker, and their two-year-old son Leighton: “It’s pathetic and childish. I want a written apology.”
