DAILY MIRROR: “Paedophile ring link ‘to Maddy McCann’”

Paedo!

Detectives hunting for Madeleine McCann have exposed a child pornography network, it was revealed last night. Thirteen people were arrested in armed raids across Spain in which officers seized computers, DVDs, CDs, cameras and a photo album with pictures of abuse.

And Madeleine McCann, who went missing in Portugal?

The arrests were sparked after a tip-off from Metodo 3, the controversial private detective agency looking for Madeleine who vanished days before her fourth birthday in Praia da Luz, Portugal in May 2007.

But no sign of the missing child.

Metodo 3 boss Francisco Marco, 36, said: “I’m satisfied to have taken out of circulation more than 20 paedophiles and those who will be arrested in the future.”
Well, some good has come of it all.

DAILY STAR: “MADDIE ‘TECS FIND KID PORNO RING IN SPAIN”

Three months into their investigation, its detectives received an anonymous email claiming the youngster appeared in a child porn video being distributed on the internet…

Father-of-two Marco, 36, said the videos were “the worst images I have seen in my life”

Is his being a father relevant? Can only a parent understand the horror of child abuse?

DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Madeleine McCann detectives claim role in paedophile arrests”

Claim. Circumspection.

Método 3 has been anxious to improve its reputation after its controversial, 75,000 euros a month, contract with the McCann Fund was terminated amid a flurry of accusations.

The agency had made various claims concerning the whereabouts and imminent finding of Madeleine. At the same time it was moving into luxurious new offices and the Spanish media raised more questions than answers when checking its credentials and track record.

Good that suspected criminals are in jail. But why do we hear of Metodo 3’s involvement now? Is this PR? Is a missing child now marketing tool?

THE SUN:

A spokesman at National Police headquarters in Madrid confirmed today that information supplied by the Metodos [sic] agency had led to the arrests.

Madeleine McCann is missing – still missing…
