Bernie Madoff Offers Victims Apology And Opportunity

by | 12th, March 2009

US financier Bernard Madoff has been jailed after pleading guilty to all 11 charges surrounding an estimated $50bn (£35bn) fraud.

The Wall Street Journal reports Madoff”s words:

“I am actually grateful for this opportunity to publicly comment about my crimes, for which I am deeply sorry and ashamed,” he told U.S. District Judge Denny Chin.

“As the years went by, I realized my risk, and this day would inevitably come,” he said in a steady voice. “I cannot adequately express how sorry I am for my crimes.”

Well the brains behind the Madoff doll can. Says he:

My friend,  DR CHARLES PIEDO, the director in charge of auditing and accounting section of international bank of Africa Lome-Togo in west Africa and husband to wife of the late head of state and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria who died on the 8th of June 1998.

I too have suffered.

The present democratic government has gone as far as confiscating all the doctor’s properties, freezing his accounts both within and outside Nigeria. As I am writing this letter to you, his son Mohammed Abacha Bovey is undergoing questioning with the government. All these measures taken by past/present government is just to gain international recognition.

The doctor has $800,000,000.00 in specially preserved and well packed in trunk boxes. It is packed in such a way to forestall just anybody having access to it. It is this sum that I seek your assistance to get out of Nigeria as soon as possible before the present civilian government finds out about it and confiscate it just like they have done to all our assets.

I implore you to please give consideration to this in need by responding to this letter and sending it on to five other people. You will then send just $1 to the “Penis Enlargement Facility Inc” , my pet charity.

Together we can repair the damage I have done.

Yours,

Bernie.

Take the man down…
