Obama Flies Pizza Maker 860 Miles To Make Him Lunch

by | 10th, April 2009

BLESSED are the pizza makers for they do bring Barack Obama his lunch:

When you’re the president of the United States, only the best pizza will do – even if that means flying a chef  860 miles.

The food by the White House ain’t up to much:

Michelle Obama spent part of her lunch hour on Thursday scooping mushroom risotto for homeless men and women at a soup kitchen a few blocks from the White House.

Pizza it is. Here comes the green plane Pizza Express, with green dough and extra green peppers:

Chris Sommers, 33, jetted into Washington from St Louis, Missouri, on Thursday with a suitcase of dough, cheese and pans to to prepare food for the Obamas and their staff.

He had apparently been handpicked after the President had tasted his pizzas on the campaign trail last autumn.

Of course, Vanity Fair has declared the war on global warming over, so no worries about man-made disasters. Just enjoy your lunch.

Over the newswires:

In a bid to help battered US automakers, President Barack Obama announced Thursday he was accelerating the government’s purchase of 17,600 new US-made, fuel-efficient vehicles…

“This move will help stimulate the economy, support the auto industry, and achieve energy-efficiency goals,” according to the White House.

It’s pizza delivery scooters all round.

Hurrah!
