Gay Politician Threatens To Murder Miss California

by | 27th, April 2009

carrie-prejeanALAN Duncan, gay shadow Leader of the House of Commons, is on BBC’s TV’s Have I Got News For You, making a death threat against one Miss Carrie Prejean, 21, star of the Miss America beauty pageant.

(Carrie Prejean – nominative determinalism at work again.)

When asked by Perez Hilton whether the U.S. should legalise gay marriage in every state, Prejean replied:

“I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offence to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be – between a man and a woman.”

Hilton then went on air to say how anyone who doesn’t respect another human’s point of view is “bitch” and should be mugged. Intolerance will not be tolerated!

Duncan, who married his partner James Dunseath last year, calls Prejean a “silly bitch”. Adding, tautologically, “I don’t agree with her at all.”

Duncan he could not leave it there, and continued:

“If you read that Miss California has been murdered, you will know it was me, won’t you?”

Only joking. Says Duncan:

“Of course it was in jest. It is a comedy show after all. I’m sure Miss Prejean’s very beautiful and that if we were to meet we would love each other. I have no plans to kill her. I’ll send her a box of chocolates – unpoisoned.”

Duncan has form on attempts at comedy:

Duncan, when shadow business secretary, told Seven magazine:

“People who don’t say thank you at a zebra crossing deserve to be run over.”

But of course, to be really funny you have to be a Daily Mail reader, and one who responds to the story thus:

Alan Duncan’s “joke” is not a joke really, but an expression of his internal world, which he has to keep suppressed due to his position. I can only guess how much hatred is going on in private about decent people like Ms Prejean!

The real trouble with politicians is that if you highlighted every of their absurdities and laughable manners, politics would collapse.

Perhaps this is why Duncan feels a need to make his jokes so obvious – so that we are able to spot them?
