Britain’s Got Talent: Natalie Okri Sings For Her Supper With Aidan Davis

by | 16th, May 2009

natalie-okriIT’S Britain’s Got Talent, the show that gives the few Britons not already celebrities the chance to join the masses.

Here’s little Natalie Okri, who for ten bleak years has been overlooked for parts in Casualty, nappy adverts and Annie.

Says Okri:

“I sing at home and I sometimes even sing when I am having my dinner. I want to be a singer and a diva and I definitely want to be like Beyonce.”

While Okri sings with her mouthful and announces her name as “Natalay”, we meet 11-year-old Aidan Davis, from Birmingham.

And 12-year-old Sally Lax and her grandpa John Neil, 76, who together are LaxActive. No, together they are Two Grand.

So why’s grandpa there? Says the Mirror:

John lost his wife of 54 years last year and now the pair are hoping she will bring them enough luck to get them into the next round.

Rub the dead granny twice for luck. Next!

It’s Harmony, a composite blend of singers Demi Bennett, 15 (yeah, Demi) and Megan McKenna, 16, from Essex.

It’s all huge and very exciting to see so many old people well into their second decade being given one last chance at fame.

Next week, Simon Cowell blesses a maternity ward in Rhyl…
