Free London Paper Folds, Londoners Buy Rizlas
GOODBYE to The London Paper, News International Limited’s free newssheet handed out by moonlighting curry house waiters to Londoners who like their news free and full of adverts.
The hope was that The London Paper would respond to the demand of the London public and come with a valve enabling it to be inflated and used as a decent seat cushion on the Tube and bus.
Or be printed on softer tissue paper and be more toilet friendly, and – let it not be unsaid – useful in the fight on swine flu. Or sold to the London clubbing fraternity as a free alternative to giant Rizlas.
But no. It’s gone. Goodbye. You are now old news…
