CBS Radio News Reporter Cami McCormick Injured In Afghanistan
CBS Radio News reporter Cami McCormick has been injured in Logar Province Afghanistan while on an assignment.
McCormick was with members of the U.S. Army when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device (IED).
After surgery, McCormick was transported to Bagram Air Base for treatment.
Earlier in August, per the AP:
Photographer Emilio Morenatti and AP Television News videographer Andi Jatmiko were traveling with the military when their vehicle was struck by the bomb Tuesday.Both were immediately taken to a military hospital in Kandahar. Jatmiko suffered leg injuries and two broken ribs. Morenatti, badly wounded in the leg, underwent an operation that resulted in the loss of his foot.
In August 2009 46 U.S. service personnel have been killed.
BBC reporter Abdol Samad Rohani, an Afghan working for BBC radio, was killed.
Sometimes reporters die.
