Fake New York Post For The Age Of Stupid Stunts

by | 21st, September 2009

500x_fakenypTHAT fake New York Post – the Sun’s New York stable mate – looks a lot like the a Daily Express-Guardian hybrid.

The paper is there to promote The Age of Stupid, the soon-to-be-released environmental film, in which viewers are called stoopid for wasting electricity on stuff they don’t need, like popcorn machines, chillers for their lollies and ice-creams, and huge screens that broadcast moving images of ritualistic abuse under dim lights and state-of-the-art PA systems.

And do not get us started on the waste of producing a paper and printing and running a website.

Jeeesh!

The Age of Stupid is the new movie from Director Franny Armstrong (McLibel) and producer John Battsek (One Day In September). Pete Postlethwaite stars as a man living alone in the devastated future world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance? It was released in UK cinemas on 20 March 2009, and will be followed by other countries.

Pete Postlethwaite also stars in Brassed Off, a film lamenting the death of the British coal industry.

Act and fake news… You’d be stupid not to believe it…
