YOU remember that tsunami in American Samoa, the one caused by the shifting of the planets tectonic plates?

Well, forget hat you know. The Guardian’s Alexander Chancellor is here to tell you that it wasn’t geology what dunnit – it was global warming:

The Samoans’ community spirit and trust in each other are legendary, and they must also have trusted equally in the benevolence of the weather to build themselves houses without walls. The tsunami will have cruelly shattered that trust.

It was the weather wot dunnit.
