Peter Andre Pulled Out Of I’m A Celebrity Not To Do The X Factor
I’M A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! has claimed Peter Andre as its first victim. The pop acorn who rose to fame – literally – when he squired Katie Price in the jungle clearing will not be reporting on the show.
Sentimental Peter Andre was all booked to head Down Under and spend three weeks as a behind-the-scenes reporter for This Morning, saying nice things in a nice way and being, hopefully, thought of as nice by the nice viewers at home.
But then Peter heard Katie Price was going to be in the jungle and pulled out, saying it would be ‘totally improper‘ for him to do the job.
How can dignified Pete talk about Katie on the telly? He’s already got his fly-on-the-kids telly show for that.
What’s more, Katie is being paid £350,000 for her three weeks work; what Peter was getting is not said, but one imagines it was less.
Says a source:
“He reckons there’s no way he could speculate on Katie’s antics and any outback flirtations in an unbiased way.”
We’ve already lined up her future former husbands. Pete is free to comment on our choices. We think he’ll approve.
And what of Pete’s love life? Ealier he was dating X Factor hopeful Stacey Solomon. Now he’s dating X Factor hopeless Alexandra Burke? What gives?
Her spokeswoman said: ‘They met when he hosted the Paul O’Grady show and Alexandra was a guest, but there is absolutely no romance between them.’
So Peter Andre is not working in the jungle, nor dating Stacey Solomon and not dating Alexandra Burke. Anything else he’s not doing we can report on?
Meanwhile, Andre, who turned down his own offer to return to the jungle, is said to believe she was ignoring her three young children by flying to Australia for the show. The journey comes as her severely disabled son Harvey is recovering from suspected swine flu. He was taken to hospital last week and will be cared for by Miss Price’s mother, Amy.
She will also help to look after the two children her daughter had with Mr Andre, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii.
Or as Peter Andre – who was going to the Jungle for three weeks but only pulled out because Katie Piece was on the same show – wrote on Twitter.
“I’m very excited ladies and gents cos as of later tonight I get the kiddies for a whole month…..yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”.
