turner-prizeNaked Barbies in Knickerless Cage? It’s art…

THE Wedmore’s Turnip Prize, is a spoof version of the Turner Prize, with awards being given for the worst art. The award seem unnecessarily, dive that the Turner Prize seems specifically constructed to look an award for bad art.

Every year, Old Mr Anorak enters his Vomit In Sock, a biting satire on the: fashion trade (1982) – a full two years before the show was opened to other artists – the French (1997), camping (1999) and Binge Britain (2003), to name but four reasons.

Entries have been invited for this year’s Turnip Prize for bad art.

This alternative contest features the exhibits Wallace and Vomit and Knickerless Cage.

You feel that both could have won the contest proper had they been fashioned from gibbon fur or an artist with a really short name and made the puns a bit more obvious…
