Teenager Philip Laing Who Urinated On War Memorial Sentenced

ANORAK spots Philip Laing, 19, leaving Sheffield Magistrates Court having pleaded guilty to outraging public decency after he was photographed urinating over a war memorial. District Judge Anthony Browne ordered Laing to do 250 hours community service:

“I have no doubt at all, and this is accepted by the prosecution that you did so because of the vast quantity of alcohol that you had consumed. There was no other motive whatsoever.”

Philip Laing, 19 arrives at Sheffield Magistrates Court. The student who pleaded guilty to outraging public decency after he was photographed urinating over a war memorial will be sentenced today. The 19-year-old was warned he could face jail for the offence.
