Disabled Driver Given Ticket For Showing Traffic Warden Disabled Badge

by | 16th, December 2009

NEWS from Wolverhampton’s Express & Star, wherein disabled 71-year-old Alfred Turley is being asked to produce his blue badge at a parking office in West Bromwich in order to have a ticket voided

While he in the office showing his badge, a traffic warden gives his car a ticket for – you’re way ahead of us – not displaying a blue badge in a blue badge zone.

“I couldn’t believe it. They asked me to fetch my badge and when I returned I had a ticket. I didn’t make a fuss to the warden because I just thought they’d cancel it on the spot when I went back inside to tell them what had happened.

“But they said there was nothing they could do and I had to pay it.”

The law is the law…
