Gatwick, Luton and London City Airports were all forced to close for hours this morning as snow made it impossible for aeroplanes to land or take off. By lunchtime the airports had reopened but flights remained disrupted.

Danish policemen take action against environmental activists at the UN World Climate Conference in front of the Bella Convention Center in Copenhagen, Denmark. The police prevented the activists from getting into the building. Some 250 activists were arrested. The conference has entered its crucial phase.8137796
