Peter Moore Freed In Iraq: Peter Moore Dies: In Pictures

PETER Moore has been freed. Peter Moore is dead. Peter Moore was one of five British men taken hostage in Iraq in May 2007. He was working for American management consultancy Bearingpoint when he was seized at Baghdad’s Ministry of Finance. At last three of the four men kidnapped with him are known to have been killed.

Peter Moore was London’s official town crier for 31 years. He was 70.

Peter Moore’s former partner Maxine Howard said he had been brought up by Barnardo’s in Walsall, in the West Midlands, and “ran away to seek his fortune in London”.

One name. Two lives.
