Jon Venables’s 42-inch World Cup TV

JON Venables has a 42-inch HD TV in his cell. He needs this to Watch the World Cup on. One of James Bulger’s killers needs this because his old telly was too small and his eyesight is not what is was. Well, so says Justin Penrose in the Mirror.

Venables is “sports-mad”.

A prison source, perhaps the one who told the Mirror about the telly, says:

“It’s disgusting the Prison Service is pandering to Venables’ every whim.

“To give him a new TV because his eyesight is poor is just a joke. There are officers here who can’t afford a new TV, yet he’s handed one because he demands it.”

Well, it does not seem like a punishment. But, then, it’s not his telly to keep. What are the screw watching the match on?
