Weston-Super-Mare Sand Sculpture Festival In Pictures

TO the Weston-super-Mare Sand Sculpture Festival on the beach, which this year has the theme and celebration of all things British. Baldrick Buckle, aged 38, originally from Leeds but now lives in the Netherlands, works on his sculpture of Little Britain characters Lou and Andy. There’s a William Shakespear, the cast of Monty Python cast from the film the Holy Grail, The Beatles, the Queen and the campest James Bond you ever did see. The two teen girls and a teen boy lying in wet skinny jeans by a pile of alcopops are not made of sand but form parts of a living installation called Seaside Sickness which also features a Ferris Wheel in the rain, a dog on a piece of rope and a half-eaten piece of fried chicken in a discarded box…
