Without Medals For Afghanistan Soldiers Like Matt Croucher We’d Never See Them
THERE is war going on. While the Kafkaesque drones build by Tony Blair’s authoritarian stare arrest and set about ruining the life of Paul Chambers – read this – Lance Corporal Matt Croucher picked up a George Cross for his work in Afghanistan.
In February 2008, Croucher accidentally activated a trip wired grenade. Matt threw himself on the grenade saving the lives of 3 of his Comrades.
Other featured in our gallery are: Corporal Ricky Furgusson, Sergeant Karl Ley, Rifleman Peter Matthews, 21, and Rifleman Reece Terry.
It’s easy to forget them and the other soldiers. We only see them when they get a medal or meet a celebrity…
