The 7/7 Inquest: What MI5 Missed (Photos)
IT’S the inquest into 7/7 is underway. It seeks to explain how the 52 murdered victims of the 7 July 2005 bombings came to be massacred.
We will hear that 17 did not die immediately; how the 700 other victims were maimed; how MI5 failed to stop the murderers; how a militant and nihilistic form of Islam was allowed to fester and spread in the UK.
Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Germaine Lindsay and Hasib Hussain wanted fame and death. They achieved both.

The night before he committed mass murder, Shehzad Tanweer, 22, played cricket. Mohammed Sidique Khan’s wife was pregnant. On July 5 he took Hasina Patel to hospital. She miscarried on the day of the attacks.
Jermaine Lindsay, 19, asked new lover to join him in London. A parking attendant spotted Lindsay sleeping in his car at Luton station as he waited for the other three. The warden placed a ticket on the windscreen. Was that a chance missed?
In London, they carried a semi-automatic handgun and bomb parts.
There have been five official reports into 7/7. Yep, just five. But this inquest is about the victims. What did MI5 know? Well, they knew that Mohammad Sidique Khan was involved in militant Islam. But they did nothing.

Lee Harris and Samantha Badham who were killed in the July 7 bombings in London. The funeral of the couple was held Friday August 5 2005, by family and friends at St Michael's and All Saints Church in Ledbury, Herefordshire, before they were buried together in a private ceremony . Ms Badham, a 36-year-old personal assistant, grew up in the town, while 30-year-old Mr Harris, an architect, came from Hereford.2521009
