Wikileaks: More Civilians Killed In south Africa Than Iraq War Over Last 6 Years

by | 24th, October 2010

THE Wikileaks report on Iraq tells us that there has been 109,032 deaths in Iraq over the past six years, of which 66,081 were classed as civilians.

Meanwhile over in South Africa – not at war:

Each day an average of nearly 50 people are murdered. In addition to these 18,000 murders each year, there are another 18,000 attempted murders.

The number of human lives cut short in Iraq is huge – but would it have been worse under Saddam or with the US not there?
