Hypocrite Prince Charles Opens Science Museum’s Atmosphere Gallery Of Man-Made Global Warming

by | 3rd, December 2010

WHO better than the Prince of Wales, that jet set Prince Charles, to officially open the new Atmosphere gallery at the Science Museum in central London? Jenson Button? Vladimir Putin? Neil Armstrong?

The gallery’s principal sponsors are Shell and Siemens.

You might, thus, suppose this was about the bald science. But this is the Science Museum which last featured the climate in a temporary exhibit called:

Prove It – All the Evidence You Need to Believe in Climate Change.

Believe. Have faith in science, readers. This is not about nature, rather it’s about man-made global warming and what can be done to combat it. Although, Alex Burch, Atmosphere project leader, does say:

“What we’re trying to explain is not an absolute – it’s what scientists think might happen under a number of different scenarios. So we’re very cautious about what it is that we’re saying.”

The BBC’s Richard Black writes:

First up on the screen is a slice of the atmosphere. As I rub my fingers across the screen, triangles emerge, representing molecules of some unspecified greenhouse gas. An on-screen thermometer at the bottom shows the temperature of my imaginary world rising.

When it rises beyond the level the thermometer considers safe, it issues a warning.

I jab the screen, my fingertip issuing a circle of darkness that clears away some of the gas, much as some proposed geo-engineering schemes would suck up carbon dioxide.

So man can save, as man can hurt It’s not about science. It’s about man-made global warming and what can be done to cure it. Which is why Prince Charles is there. Who better to preach about climate chance than the hypocritical king of hot air?
