The Shard: Photos Of Britain’s Tallest Building

THE shard is the tallest structure in Britain. It’s an odd name to give to a tower covered in glass, some might say it’s threatening. The Shard has passed the 235m mark, making it taller than One Canada Square in Canary Wharf.

The blub says the pinnacle resembles a “very tall ship”. But that it really reminds us of is a cross between the Eifel Tower and the Tower in the Lord of the Rings films. Inspiration, eh – ain’t it marvellous…
