Kerry Katona’s Happiness Dump And Josie Gibson’s Agony
OK! magazine excels itself this week with a photoshopped cover “HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE” that places Kerry Katona (sunhat, bikini, vim-coloured teeth) beside Big Brother winner Josie Gibson (huge flower in hair, printed smock, jeans, cheap jewellery). One is dressed for a readers’ wives home photos shoot; the other is off to the local shops.
The headline seeks to tie the two reality show winners together with more than bad technology:
“UNITED IN HEARTBREAK – JOSIE AND KERRY FIGHT BACK”
Josie is fighting back from John: “JOHN CALLED ME UGLY AND THICK”. Kerry is fighting back from Dan: “DAN DUMPED ME IN A MAGAZINE.”
Inside the magazine we are told, as if we did not know:
“Adored by millions and with the world at theri feet, Kerry Katona and Josie Gibson are ladies at the pinnacle of their powers.”
Josie’s here to “set the record straight” about her reality TV love for John James Parton, a Frank Spencer look-alike who turned out not to be her “Australian Prince Charming” (is there such a creature?). Kerry wants to tell us that she is not with Dan Foden, with whom she had an “eight-week fling“. (He says they went out twice.)
She says Dan told her:
“I can’t handle this world, I’m not mature enough for it.”
Not mature enough to be photographed grinning? How young is he? Are his smiles still taken for wind?
Anyhow, it is onwards and upwards for the girls. Josie is now OK!’s agony aunt. Kerry is the OK! aunt you stay in your bedroom to avoid…
