Northumberland Man Filmed Breaking CCTV Camera

by | 8th, July 2011

DO you know the man who stole a boat in Blyth, Northumberland? On June 19, the man and a pal stole a dinghy to get them over the River Blyth. The dingy was undamaged and has been returned to the yard. But police say one of the men damaged a CCTV camera.

Inspector Trevor Oakley tells us:

“These two men have broken into the boatyard with the intention of stealing a boat in order to avoid the long walk round to North Blyth. Although the dinghy they stole was recovered, they have still committed an offence by breaking into the yard and by taking the boat. I’d appeal for anyone who recognises the man in the image to come forward and contact police with information.”

What does the man look like? Well… See that photo above… That’s him by the CCTV camera.
