TODAY was Russia’s Paratroopers Day. It was the day in which the country’s current crop of elite fighters marked the 81th anniversary of their creation by marching up and down while looking tough and steely jawed – and ex-paras dressed in hot pants, and Jean Paul Gaultier’s 1990s cast offs while eating watermelon which seems to have been laced with 100% proof meths.
