WEST Ham United fans should know that the club’s defeat to the mighty Aldershot in the League Cup was not real. No. It was merely a perception.
Sam Allardye, the Hammers unlikely manger, is musing on the sending off of 19-year-old Callum McNaughton on his senior debut.
“We would have won the game if it had stayed 11 v 11 – that’s the reality. I live in reality while most people in football live in perception.”
In the unreal world West Ham lost 2-1.
