White Stephanie Knights Aided And Abetted Gang Rape Of Two Blackburn Girls

by | 2nd, September 2011

TIME for an update on Stephanie Knight, 19, formerly of Rawtenstall in Lancashire, who aided the gang rape of two 16-year-old Blackburn girls in December 2009.

The BBC says she will spend the next seven eyars in a young offenders institute.

This means she will be 26 when she gets out. It also means Knight will be 25 when she is in a YOI – a place where vulnerable teenagers are imprisoned. Can this be right?

Amjad Hussain, 34, and Shahid Hussain, 37, and their cousin Tanveer Butt, 39 have all been all jailed indefinitely at Preston Crown Court. What is indefinite? Well, it means they will spend at least seven-and-a-half years in choky before they can be considered for parole.

Judge Beverley Lunt tells Knight:

“It is clear you have had a difficult life so far. There is no doubt you have distorted views of morality and appropriate behaviour. There is no question that you were badly used by these men. You knew what they were like and what their interests were and yet you lured the girls into their clutches. But for you, neither girl would have been exposed to the danger on the night and subjected to the humiliating rapes. You played a vital part in this conspiracy and knew what you were doing.”

Is Knight another victim? She is white. Is her skin colour relevant? No.

So why does the Daily Mail say:

Teenager who lured girls into house to be raped by Asian gang is jailed for seven years

Adding:

The Asian gang are the latest in a long line of groups who have targeted vulnerable teenagers across Britain.

The Sun makes no use of the word “Asian”.

The Lancashire Telegraph simply states:

East Lancashire rape gang sentenced

Why does the Mail mention the men’s race? We can see from their names and their faces (see baove) that they are of Asian origin.

We are shocked because a woman was involved in an organised rape of two young women. It is unusual. She is not typical of all young white women who have been in care – is she? We are, sadly, less shocked that three men can treat women in such a fashion – whatever their race. Are they typical of Asian men? Are we at a point with news reporting when Asian men pray to god that the rapist on the nightly news is not brown skinned lest they are all tarred with a yellow brush..?
