Cannabis farmers arrested after calling police for theft of crop

WHEN thieves stole £10,000 worth of cannabis from the home of Colin Roberts, 47, and Mandy Coghlan, the victims called the police. The police raced to the scene and confirmed that the weed had been stolen. They found 16 pots containing only stubs of marijuana plants. They also found 46.33 grams of dried skunk.

The cops then arrested Roberts and Godhlan for production of a banned substance.

Coghlan rected by taking hold of a loaded air pistol and aiming it at the officers.

To Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court ,then, where Roberts says the cannabis was for his personal use and used to alleviate symptoms of his Crohn’s Disease.

The Beak awards Roberts and Coghlan with 12-month prison sentences, suspended for two years.

The cannabis thieves have yet to be caught.
