Ched Evans: Three arrests for twitter posts and Sheffield United’s hair don’t

by | 26th, April 2012

WHAT news of Ched Evans, the Sheffield United footballer convicted of rape and sentenced to five years prison? Well, he’s appealing his conviction. If things go his way Ched Evans may be out of prison before the three men who allegedly tweeted the name of his victim.

The three have been arrested. Two men have been arrested under the Section Five of the Sexual Offences Amendments Act. One man is being held on suspicion of malicious communication.

In other news, Sheffield United have suspended Connor Brown. He made odious comments on twitter about the victim.

It’s all unedifying stuff.

One tweeter wants people to know:

One question: if the law is equal, why haven’t Emma West’s twitter hunters been arrested?
