JANUS Cat of the day is / are Frank (left) and Louie (right) – one name for each face. Frankie/ Louis lived with Marty in Worcester, Mass. The Janus cat is named after the Roman god of doorways, who had two faces on one head. Frankie / Louie is in the Guinness World Records as the world’s longest-living Janus cat. He died in February 2012. Incidentally, what would you call your Janus?

FILE - In this Sept. 28, 2011 file photo, a cat with two faces, named Frank and Louie, sits on a mat in his home in Worcester, Mass. The animal is known as a Janus cat, named for the figure in Roman mythology with two faces on one head. The owner calls the face on the left Frank, while the face on the right she identifies as Louie. The cat set a Guinness record by surviving for 12 years in Massachusetts. A renegade squirrel attacked residents of a Vermont neighborhood. A Connecticut man upset about parking enforcement parked illegally in a handicapped space and called the cops on himself _ more than a dozen times. From criminals doing dumb things to animals doing strange things, there was plenty of odd news to go around in New England in 2011. (AP Photo/Steven Senne, File)
