Woman spends NYE imprisoned in a shop

by | 3rd, January 2013

NEW YEAR’S EVE is a wonderful time isn’t it? A feeling of togetherness, celebration and dodging puddles of puke and sexual sputum. Unless you’re the old woman from France who saw 2013 in while imprisoned in a supermarket.

The 73-year-old in Roubaix was shopping at an Intermarché store on December 31st when she felt ill and headed to the toilet.

Alas, when she FINALLY got round to leaving the latrines, the supermarket had shut for the day, leaving her by herself as the New Year approached.

And she spent the night there, eventually settling in the staff office (and hopefully surrounded by huge amounts of sweets and empty booze bottles).

She was found the next morning ‘exhausted’ but ‘safe’ according to local newspaper La Voix du Nord, and of course, showing signs of great stupidity because she could’ve absolutely rung someone or knocked on the window at a passer-by.
