Aeroflot crew sacking: the curious case of Tatiana Kozlenko’s finger

by | 6th, February 2013

FLIGHT crew Tatiana Kozlenko posted a picture of someone giving the finger to passengers travelling with Aeroflot. She posted the image on Vkontakte, a Russian website.

Tatiana Kozlenko has been sacked. She denies the finger is hers. She says it not even an Aeroflot jet. Does he have a case?

I’ve travelled with Aeroflot, once to Cuba in the early 2000s. On boarding the plane I went to adjust the seat. It flew backwards. Flat. The plane was full, so the crew propped it up with a bag behind me. My colleague that reached up to adjust the overhead fan. She touched it. It fell off. The entire unit. At journey’s end, we waited for our bags. And waited. We watched as a man walked to the plan and crowbarred the hold open. Hard to think that Aeroflot hasn’t improved. But if it hasn’t, a view of a clean, well-lit jet would do it no harm.

PS – Tatiana Kozlenko will surely be welcomed with open arms at RyanAir, where she can bypass the crew training classes.
