THE Daily Express claims to be Number 1 for weather news. But can its sister organ the Daily Star compete?

On 6th March 2013, Steve Hughes told us:

BRITS will bask in glorious sunshine this month as March 2013 is tipped to be the hottest on record.

The temperature soared past 17.5C yesterday, 7C warmer than average.

Today, the Star tells its readers:

KILLER STORM

Richard Spillett reports:

BRITAIN’S latest deadly storms claimed their first victim yesterday as experts warned of more killer weather on the way… The tragedy came as the UK was deluged by heavy downpours, freezing gale-force winds and some of the heaviest snowfalls in three years. Vast swathes of the country were buried under up to six inches of snow with emergency services struggling to cope with thousands of calls.

Good effort from the Star, but the Express still leads the weather pack. See here, here, here and here.
