Stuart Hall court case

STUART Hall has admitted 14 charges of indecently assaulting children. The youngest victim was nine. BBC presenter Hall, 83, pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court. He was active between 1967 and 1985.

His lawyer says:”He is all too aware that his disgrace is complete.”

No. It isn’t. He’s 83. He got away with it.

Who else knew? Why weren’t we told before? Did the police ignore the victims? Why didn’t anyone go to the media? Or did the media protect one of its own?

When arested he called the charges “pernicious, callous, cruel and above all spurious”.

What did he do?

Hall put his hand  up the clothes of a nine-year-old girl.

He kissed a 13-year-old girl on the lips, telling her:  “People need to show thanks in other ways.”

He had been facing a further trial over allegations that he raped a 22-year-old woman in 1976, plus three further counts of sexual assault, but these have now been allowed to lie on file.
