The Daily Bale: Spurs sell Bale to Real Madrid in early July and Manchester United have already bought him

THE DAILY Bale: Anorak’s look at The Tottenham Hotspur star in the news:

The National Turk magazine say Gareth Bale is heading to Manchester United. According to the magazine’s English website:

Gareth Bale will  arrival next month  with the Tottenham Hotspurs winger  rumoured to have cost the Red Devils side £85 million, though they have insisted that the actual fee is below this figure. Regardless, it is very probable they have broken the United’s Premier League transfer record, which was set by last year Van Persie transfer.

If you choose to believe that – and RVP’s transfer is not United’s biggest ever –  then NT mag has the scoop missed by every other news organ on planet Earth. All others are going with the news that Andre Villas-Boas, the Spurs manger, says Bale is going nowhere. He says Bale will be at Spurs for the start of next season.

One blog, Here Is The City, looks at the wording:

Unless that’s a cryptic promise because the transfer window doesn’t actually shut at the start of the season, AVB will now be able to enjoy his summer without that lingering worry and doubt…

Real Madrid and Florentino Perez have encountered this sort of thing before so if they still try to do a deal, and Spurs accept it, the manager’s position becomes vulnerable because he’ll have been undermined in a severe way.

Why Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would undermine his manager is not investigated.

VB seems to trust Levy implicitly to do the best for him and his club and if he feels as though he’s been betrayed by the club, there won’t be many fans who will blame him for walking away if Bale is still sold.

The chances of that remain relatively high as Bale is going to be unveiled as a Real Madrid player next month according to the president.

Then Caught Offisde reports:

Real Madrid Plan to Unveil Tottenham Attacker Gareth Bale In Early July: Edinson Cavani & Isco Also Expected to Make Bernabeu Switch

As ever, it all adds up to lot of nothing. We’ve not heard a single word from the player or his agent. But if we know one thing it is that football has gone mad and if Real offer a massive sum for Bale, he’ll be on his way.
