Manchester United fans start ‘Moyes Out’ campaign

MANCHESTER United fans have started a campaign to get David Moyes sacked from his role as manager at Old Trafford, a mere three games after he started work.

Two months of Moyes, and it seems some of the ManYoo fans have had enough.

These supporters rolled out a hashtag on twitter – #moyesout – which, startlingly, ended up trending in the United Kingdom this afternoon.

Of course, some Man United fans wanted Alex Ferguson to get the chop early in his career, but he managed to turn everyone around and take the club from being a side who hadn’t much in years to being world beaters.

However, there is something about Moyes that is deeply unsatisfying. Firstly, he’s quite difficult to hate for the neutral (which is irritating because it is fair to assume most people wanted Manchester United to fail miserably after Fergie left).

Secondly, he’s not particularly flamboyant. Moyes is in one of the most glamorous jobs in the world and who does he try and sign? Everton pair Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini. It hardly reeks of ambition does it?

There’s something about Moyes that says, if he was a normal bloke who won the lottery, he’d still do his shopping at Lidl and would carry on working at the cardboard box factory.

That all taken into account, it seems a few Man United fans need to take a bit of stock and give Moyes a break, or else they’ll end up looking like mental Chelsea fans who started supporting them during the Abramovich years.
