Justin Bieber: ‘I Don’t Give a F*ck’

MANY have waited for Justin Bieber to go a bit mental. When he first came out, he was too saccharine. He was just too sweet. Then, when his balls decided to drop, he started acting up. He got a bunch of tattoos, swore at some press people, nearly had a baby with a woman he’d never met and spat off a balcony at his fans.

How we all cheered that a young man’s brain was imploding!

And guess what? Justin Bieber doesn’t care what you think about him. Why? Even if you say something awful about him, it makes the Beliebers close ranks and get tighter. Like a cult.

“When people see a negative thing about me on a magazine, they’re gonna buy it,” says the 19-year-old in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter. “Every time some site writes something bad, all my followers go on there, and it brings them more traffic. Now they have all the Beliebers on their site, which gives them money from advertisers. They’re just worried about money. They don’t care about ruining someone’s name.”

“Not ‘I don’t give a fu*k’ to just be reckless and do whatever, but ‘I don’t give a fuck what [people] say. I know who I am and what I’m doing in my life and what I’ve accomplished and continue to accomplish as a performer, as a writer, as an artist, as a person, as a human being. I’m happy with the man I’m becoming.”

He added: “You shouldn’t trust anybody. I trust Scooter (his manager) with my career, he’s always made sure I’m taken care of. That’s it.”

It seems, weirdly, that his manager is almost letting his young star say whatever he wants and do what he wants because it is all publicity and, while Bieber is in the public eye, Scooter gets increasingly large paycheques, which is nice. And more to the point, all the hate is pointed not at a grown man with a good wage, but rather, someone growing up in public. It really is a perfect job.

Speaking of people growing up in public, Bieber believes he’s got some growing to do musically: “Michael Jackson didn’t do Off the Wall until he was about 23… Bad, not until he was, like, 25 (29, actually). I have all the time in the world.”

That’s what Michael Jackson thought too. Still, it doesn’t matter, because Bieber doesn’t give a fuck.
