Transfer Balls: Arsenal Make Balotelli Captain Of Their All-Star A-Team

by | 20th, June 2014

TRANSFER Balls highlights the sterling work of the Daily Express’ Ben Jeffersen, who writes:

…Chelsea and Arsenal will join the Red Devils in the race for Gonzalo Higuain… Arsenal eye a plan B if they fail to sign Mario Balotelli.

So. Arsenal’s Plan A is to sign Mario Balotelli and Plan B is to sign Gonzalo Higuain. And let us not forget the Sun’s news that the Argentine already plays for the Gunners:

higuain arsenal sign

Having highlighted Arsenal’s Plans A and B, Jeffersen then notes:

Arsenal will move to Bayern Munich’s Mario Mandzukic if they can’t land Mario Balotelli from AC Milan.

Is that Plan C, then?

And what of the Express‘ other news:

CHELSEA have joined Arsenal and Tottenham in the race to sign QPR ace Loic Remy…

And then there was the Star’s news that Arsenal had already won that ‘race’:

Arsenal agree personal terms with QPR striker Loic Remy

Given that Arsenal have already agreed to sign him, was Remy Plan A?

But he can’t have been because Jefferson told Express readers:

Benzema is top of his [Wenger’s] wish-list.

So. Benzema is Plan A. Which makes Balotelli Plan B? Well, no. Says Jeffersen:

Arsenal may yet have to settle for Morata instead, with Real more willing to let the 21-year-old leave.

Morata is Plan B. Got it?

It’s almost as if – as if! – The Express is presenting utter balls as news…
