Ched Evans Taught Me To Rape But Paul Gascoigne Made Me Beat Up Women

by | 12th, November 2014

CHED Evans, the convicted rapist is back in the news because he’s been invited to train at Sheffield United FC.

The Sun is aghast:

THE return to footie by freed rapist Ched Evans was yesterday condemned as “a disgrace to mankind” — by the striker’s aunt. Disgusted Nina Evans, 56, said as the Sheffield United forward resumed training at the club: “I feel physically sick at the thought. It’s like he’s sticking two fingers up to the world. It’s disgraceful to the human race.”

He served his time. His victim continues to suffer:

The girl, now 23, whose rapist was jailed for five years but served only half, quit her Welsh home town of Rhyl to live under a new identity “thousands of miles away”. Her uncle said: “She’d be gutted — absolutely distraught. If I wasn’t such a grown man, Ched Evans wouldn’t be walking this earth — I’d kill him.”

Stick that on Twitter and it’d could be construed as a threat.

Yesterday his girlfriend Natasha Massey, 25, who has stood by him, returned to work at her dad’s jewellers for the first time in months.

What crime did she commit to warrant us needing to know that?

The BBC has more:

Television presenter Charlie Webster has resigned as a patron of Sheffield United after the club allowed convicted rapist Ched Evans to train. The club said it had granted former player Evans permission to train with the side following a request from the Professional Footballers’ Association.

Evans, 25, was freed last month after serving two-and-a-half years for rape. Ms Webster told BBC’s Newsnight that “at no point” had the club acknowledged the “extremity of his crime”…

“My decision is made on the fact that I don’t believe a convicted rapist, as in Ched Evans, should go back to a club that I am patron of and should go back into the community to represent the community.”

Ok. But this is insulting:

“He’s not just going into a job, he’s bandied as a role model, we cheer him on as a role model and he’s influencing the next generation of young men who are currently still making their decisions on how to treat women and what sexual mutual consent is.”

Great how men are portrayed as idiots. Unable to recognise that Ched Evans went to prison for his crimes, we are told that his possibly getting a job sends out the message that rape is fine. Football fans who hang on Ched’s every action and word will be confused. Actual role models – you know, dads – will clutch their heads and wail at what havok Ched Evans has wrought. First the kids started beating women because Paul Gascoigne did it and now they’re raping them because Ched did it. If only they were more into rugby and just tore of scrotums and stuck fingers in eyes, the world would be a better place.
