Westminster paedophiles: Bring back PIE and trial before arrest

by | 22nd, December 2014

Westminster peadophiles: a look at the story of a ‘ring’  of VIPs abusing and murdering children in the 1970s and 1980s.

BBC: “Child abuse inquiry: Survivors want new panel and extra powers”

Theresa May Labour has criticised Theresa May for failing to get the inquiry “off the ground”

Is it all about politics?

Dozens of child abuse survivors have urged the government to scrap an inquiry into historical abuse and replace it with a more powerful body. The call comes after a leaked letter from Theresa May told inquiry members their panel might be disbanded.

Peter Saunders, from National Association for People Abused in Childhood, said the move would be supported by the majority of survivors.

An inquiry before any trial or arrests. Will it be thorough? How can it be when facts are so thin? Is it legal? Well,  you’ve nothing to fear if you’ve nothing to hide…

Labour’s Simon Danczuk said the inquiry so far had been an “utter mess”.

Mr Danczuk, who exposed child sex abuse allegations against former Liberal MP Cyril Smith, told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that survivors would be “dismayed” by the progress of the inquiry – which was set up in July and has started work, but has no chairman.

No. He didn’t. Local press did that years ago. Rochdale Raw pointed the finger.  Decades ago. Danczuk started grandstanding after the systematic abuse of underage girls by mostly Asian paedophiles in his constituency became accepted fact. Rochdale was toxic then and is toxic now.

He later told BBC Radio 5 live: “It is verging on a disgrace in terms of how government, how Theresa May, and how Home Office officials have organised or failed to organise this particular enquiry.”

So says the MP for Rochdale.

Former Labour MP for Keighley Ann Cryer said that the authorities ignored complaints about them because they were ‘petrified of being called racist’.

These innocent girls were ultimately ‘betrayed’ and left to live lives of ‘untold misery,’ because of political correctness, she said.

But former Labour minister Keith Vaz claimed today ‘I do not think it is a race issue,’ a view subscribed to by Greater Manchester Police.

Mrs Cryer dealt with problems of Asian sex gangs in her northern constituency for more than a decade.

‘This is an absolute scandal. They were petrified of being called racist and so reverted to the default of political correctness,’ she said.

‘They had a greater fear of being perceived in that light than in dealing with the issues in front of them.’

No politicians, police, agency staff arrested over that.
But the sex-race gangs story has been buried by the more pressing need to expose cases of historical sex abuse. Lots of people fingered that trawl for victims are now dead. So. Let’s now really get to know the truth. In 30 years time look out for the story of Rochdale, Oxford, Rotherham and all other stories of organised paedos being investigated with equal rigour.

In the letter to Home Secretary Theresa May from survivors, survivors’ groups and associated professionals, they call for a new inquiry with the power to “compel witnesses to give evidence under oath”.

So. It’s not an enquiry… It’s a criminal trial?

It is “essential” the inquiry has these legal powers to “prevent evidence being withheld or tampered with”, they say.

Sod the courts and justice system.

The HuffPo has more:

A dossier implicating three MPs and a three members of the House of Lords in a Westminster paedophile ring has been handed to Scotland Yard.

The Sunday Times reports a list of 22 high-profile figures has been compiled by Labour MP John Mann including 13 former ministers.

A well as claims of sexual abuse dating back to to the 1970s, police are also looking seriously at claims three boys were murdered in a luxury London apartment in Dolphin Square.

One of those killed is alleged to have been strangled by a Tory MP during a sex game, a claim described by Scotland Yard as “credible and true”.

Mann has said previously: “All those 22 names are worthy of investigation by the police. The evidence against half of them is very compelling.

“Some of them could definitely be prosecuted and I believe several of them were definitely child abusers.

“I have been given many other names although at present I do not believe the evidence is sufficiently strong to pass them on the police.”

The dossier includes the names of 14 Tory politicians, five Labour MPs and three from other parties.

No police officers? No peers? What was the criteria for Mann’s list?

The Sunday Times:

The Met says Operation Midland, the investigation into the alleged depravity at Dolphin Square, has failed to find any evidence to corroborate the claims, identify the murder victims or recover any bodies.

As well as politicians, Dolphin Square has been home to royals, foreign dignitaries, film stars and military figures. Famous former residents include Princess Anne, Christine Keeler, Mandy Rice- Davies and Sir Oswald Mosley. There is no suggestion any were involved in, or knew of, the alleged sexual abuse.

It emerged last year that another dossier, compiled by the campaigning MP Geoffrey Dicken and naming the disgraced Liberal MP Cyril Smith and other suspected Establishment figures as involved in sex abuse of children, had vanished after it was sent in 1983 to the then home secretary Leon Brittan. A recent Home Office inquiry failed to find it and discovered that a further 114 files relevant to the scandal had gone missing.

Meanwhile, a heated debate in the New Statesman:

Dr Rebecca Roache, a philosophy lecturer at the University of London, has written on paedophile rehabilitation for Oxford University’s Practical Ethics journal. From her research, Dr Roache told me that rethinking how paedophilia is understood is vital if preventative measures are to take place.

“Currently, ‘paedophile’ is synonymous with ‘child sexual abuser’ in the public’s imagination. Presumably this is because the vast majority of us only ever encounter paedophiles once they have been caught abusing children,” she says.

“It would probably help if people could be encouraged to realise that not all paedophiles abuse children, and that while child-abusing paedophiles might be an appropriate target for our wrath, non-offending paedophiles who are struggling with alarming and unwanted desires deserve our sympathy and help. And it seems plausible to think that the more we help the latter type of paedophile, the better we will get at preventing the former type”.

Maybe a kind Paedophile Information Network would be useful?

Such are the facts…
