DO you know the practical jokers who glued the doors shot of 25 homes in Letterkenny, County Donegal? They glued some of the car doors, too.
John McGeever from Ballymacool Terrace in the town, tells the BBC:
“Some people went out of their homes and couldn’t get back in again. Then some people realised when they were in they couldn’t get out. Whoever did this must have a lorry load of glue because it was running down the doors. When we got down to the local locksmiths he had to replace most of the locks because he said whatever way this glue was inserted it actually went into the springs in the doors.”

WHEN quizzed about Britain on the David Letterman show, David Cameron was apparently unable to give the meaning of the words Magna Carta. We say “apparently” because Boris Johnson, who might of course have his own agenda here, suggested that the Prime Minister knew perfectly well what it meant, but feigned ignorance in order to give the impression that he is just a regular, down-to-earth kinda guy.

THERE’S talk of a nationwide forum to save underage girls from being sexual exploited. This new “special interest” outfit will share information and knowledge on paedophiles who abuse vulnerable and impressionable children. There will not be another Rochdale. There will not be another Rotherham. Another Derby. And so on…
In soem parts of the country, gangs of men, mainly of Pakistani heritage, have been raping predominately white girls. They are, of course, not the norm. Most paedophiles and deviants are solitary white males. But it’s these gangs that have been ignored by the police and the State.
Edward Timpson, the Children’s Minister, says “too many agencies have failed to get a grip on sexual exploitation and have allowed abusers to escape justice. It is plain wrong if cultural sensitivities or political correctness ever stop crimes being investigated fully.”
Jeremy Browne, the Minister for Crime Prevention, says he’s “political sensitivities must not get in the way of preventing and uncovering child abuse”.
Jim Taylor, the chief executive of Rochdale council, says:
“This is all about understanding how to give the victims confidence to come forward, and how to get from there to a prosecution. Some areas of the country are still in denial about what is happening. You get the feeling they’re more interested in protecting their reputations than in doing the right thing. We have taken the decision to be as open and transparent as we can.”
You can start by prosecuting the police, social workers and other officials who failed to listen to the vulnerable, who ignored they testimonies and please for help.
Jack Straw, the Labour former Home Secretary, says the organised rape gangs had “an ethnic dimension which is typically of Asian men on white girls”.
Asian? They are pussy-footing around. Are Chinese gangs behind the crimewave? Indians? Most of the men come from a Muslim background. They are nominally Muslim. They are a minute minority in a big community. This is not a crime rooted in their culture. It is one rooted in British culture that sees the white, working class British as a mob who if told that a few gangs of Pakistani men are targeting white girls will turn uniformly racist. So warped is the fear of stirring the great unwashed to riot that the word Asian is as close as many in power will let themselves get to identifying the likely culprits. It’s that kind of stupidity that allowed girls to be systematically abused for at least ten years before anything was done.
The prattish Labour MP Keith Vaz, chair of the home affairs select committee, said:
“It’s totally wrong to say that [these crimes are unique to Muslim Pakistani men], because you open up a Pandora’s box as far as race relations is concerned and I don’t think that’s necessarily what we want.”
It’s not them. It’s you. It’s the poor whites, who, upon hearing the truth, will look anew at their neighbours, their friends, their co-workers of Pakistani heritage and burn their houses down. So thick are the whites that they will demonise an entire community on the strength of a small number of perverts. It is, however, perfectly ok for the elite to demonise the whites. Get this from Michael White in the Guardian:
But all sorts of people who are usually quite willing (in some cases eager) to categorise many of society’s ills in terms of discrimination over race and racism – yes, Keith Vaz, MP, I include you – when the victim comes from an ethnic or national minority, throw their hands up in horror at those who highlight the Pakistani or “Asian” connection here. The race relations industry goes into a curious reverse.
At one level we can understand why. The BNP, English Defence League and other professional racists are keen to get their crowbars into cases such as this.
His thinking seems to be that if the extremists get their “crowbars” in, the slack-jawed, reactionary, dumb white working class then will obediently follow the racists.
Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, put it in bolder terms:
“[British Pakistani males] think that white teenage girls are worthless and can be abused without a second thought; it is this sort of behaviour that is bringing shame on our community.”
One other person talking sense is Simon Danczuk, the MP for Rochdale, who says the “young girls’ cries for help were systematically ignored…I’m in no doubt that the poor response by council services would have emboldened the criminals to make them think they could carry on abusing with impunity.”
You don’t need talking shops. You need to listen.You need to stop viewing the girls as an underclass, a kind go “white trash”, a hideous phrase that belittles and rubbishes an entire group of people. Asians did not invent that phrase and make it acceptable to say in public and in print. Other whites did. And the police and social services believed it.

“Now I know – you know, we all know – that the fans were right. But it took 23 years, two inquiries, one inquest and research into 400,000 documents, many of which were kept secret under the 30-year no-publication rule, to discover there was a vast cover-up by South Yorkshire Police about the disaster. Where does that leave me?”

LEO Traynor met a troll. He left twitter when he was tageted. He joined twitter in May 2007. In July 2009, he received a message:
“Dirty f*cking Jewish scumbag”
He blocked the messages. But more messages came. He was inundated. His Facebook account was hacked, his blog was spammed and his email address “flooded with foulmouthed and disgusting comments & images. Images of corpses and concentration camps and dismembered bodies.”
He ignored the abuse, thinking the idiot (s) would grow tired of it and leave him alone. Then Leo’s wife joined twitter and identified herself as “The long suffering wife of @LeoTraynor”.

MEGAN Stammers is the 15-year-old schoolgirl who has legged it to France with Jeremy Forrest, the 30-year-old who teaches her maths at Bishop Bell School in Eastbourne.
Forrest married Emily Faulder, 31, in Brighton last year.
East Sussex County Council says they were investigating the relationship when the teacher and his pupil went missing. Stammers and Forrest were, reportedly, seen holding hands on the way back from a school trip to Los Angeles in February.

Gay people are seven times more likely to take illegal drugs than the general population, a new study conducted over two years has found. And one in five show signs of dependency on drugs or alcohol. The report, conducted by the Lesbian and Gay Foundation (LGF) and the University of Central Lancashire, sampled more than 4,000 people over two years.

WILL Andrew Mitchell go down in history as the man who created gate-gate, the ultimate post-Watergate gate story? Mitchell, the Government Chief Whip, denies calling police guarding Downing Street a “pleb” or “moron”. He does, however, regret not showing police “the amount of respect I should have done”.
Mitchell wanted to take his bicycle through the main Downing Street Gates. Police said he couldn’t. The Sun says he told a constable:
“Best you learn your fucking place. You don’t run this fucking government. You’re fucking plebs.”
Mitchell now says:
“I have apologised to the police, I have apologised to the police officer involved on the gate and he’s accepted my apology and I hope very much that we can draw a line under it there.”

PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes were murdered on duty. Last summer, when Marc Duggan was shot dead by police, the call was for less police guns. When unarmed Jean Charles de Menezes was shot dead by police as he ran for the Tube, did arming all police look like a sensible answer to maintaining law and order?

SO, an armadillo it is.
Not the most obvious choice for Brazil’s World Cup mascot, but then the nut had already been by Crystal Palace’s legendary P. Nut, and the connotations of the word “Brazilian” are hardly suitable for a family-friendly cuddly toy.

BACK in May 2012, Conal Urquhart told Guardian readers that Israel had offered £4m compensation to Turkish victims of the raid on the Mavi Marmara flotilla. The boat was bound for the Gaza Strip when Israeli commandos landed on deck.
There is much dispute as to what happened. But Urquart is misleading:
Turkey cooled diplomatic relations with Israel after nine of its citizens were shot dead by Israeli commandos who landed on the Mavi Marmara to prevent its passage to Gaza. Protesters on the ship repelled the first wave of lightly armed commandos, but then the Israeli soldiers used lethal force against the unarmed passengers to end their resistance.

PC Simon Harwood will keep his police pension. Make that former Pc Simon Harwood, the copper sacked for gross misconduct. Ian Tomlinson’s family may well laugh. In Tomlinson was the man who died at the G20 protest in London back in 2009. Harwood was filmed hitting Tomlinson and pushing him to the ground. Tomlinson was on his way home from work. He was minding his own business. His hands were in his pockets. He was facing the other way.
An inquest ruled that Mr Tomlinson had been unlawfully killed. Dr Freddy Patel’s initial verdict was that Mr Tomlinson died of natural causes. That was wrong.

Harwood admitted using unnecessary force. He was acquitted of manslaughter.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Maxine de Brunner of the Met Police says Hawwood cannot lose his pension because he was not convicted of a criminal offence in relation to death of newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson. She says:
“Simon Harwood will retain his pension when he reaches pensionable age. I’m unable to remove his pension because he has not been convicted of a criminal offence…We must remember on April 1, 2009 Ian Tomlinson lost his life. I take full responsibility for Simon Harwood and I would like to offer my sincere apologies and condolences to his family. Today’s hearing has resulted in the maximum penalty that was ever available to the panel – dismissal due to gross misconduct. That leaves no ambiguity as to how the Met views the actions of Simon Harwood.”
She takes full responsibility. Good. Sack her as well, then.
Harwood did not work alone. Here is why his bosses at the Met should be charged, too.

ONE thing you cannot escape noticing is that Islamists love scarecrows. Wherever and whenever an anti-American protest breaks out some gurning loon will be there with an effigy of the US President he wants to set on fire. It isn’t Santa Claus’s Christmas, Halloween or Mother’s Day the US should have exported round the globe – it’s Bonfire Night, that British custom of spending every November 5th in the company of a stuffed, militant religionist (in this case the Catholic Guy Fawkes) with a rocket up his arse. If you want to show the jihadis that they are not the enemy, give them a hot jacket potato, a sparkler and invite them to bring an effigy to burn on the Bonfire.
