Incredible Hulk arrested for drugs dealing

MUG Shot of The Day features Scott Anderson, of Radford, Coventry, who was caught selling drugs outside Coventry’s Skydome nightclub. He was, m’lud, dressed as The Incredible Hulk.

At Coventry Crown Court, Anderson’s defence goes on the record to say the accused “couldn’t have stood out more”.

Says Shane Crawford, defending:

“This was a serious lapse on his part, a serious lapse and aside from the comedic element, his dress, he couldn’t have stood out more to police. This was a drunk man seeking to get some money back for a purchase that he had made for himself. It was a drunk attempt to get his money back on his way home. That’s very different from low level street dealing.”

Nodding disease threatens Uganda’s Brussels Sprouts farmers

TO northern Uganda, where ‘nodding syndrome’ is striking down the locals. Reports are of children and adolescents nodding violently when they eat food.

What can trigger the disease.? Minds turn at once to Brussels Sprouts. Your child is not sat before the now stone cold veg rocking backwards and forwards while emitting huge wet sobs because they are being ‘bloody minded’ and ‘ungrateful’. They are ill. Also do not threaten to send them to the starving children of Africa. They don’t want them.

One other theory is that the disease is triggered by a parasitic worm responsible for river blindness.

Jealous penguins throw poo at panda mad Edinburgh Zoo

PENGUINS are tossing poo at the punters at Edinburgh Zoo. The Rockhopper penguins are on Corstorphine Hill, a spot that offers them a clear view of the pandas. Have the pandas upset the penguins? Is this a monochrome batter for supremacy in an abundant zoo? Are the penguins siding with Norwegian fishermen?

These are strange times, indeed.

Gary Wilson, Edinburgh Zoo’s director of business operations, tells the BBC:

“Our rockhopper penguins in particular have been watching the events at the panda enclosure below with great interest, ever since work started on the enclosure… Onee or two of our rockhoppers seem to have had surprisingly good aim. We’re just looking into a solution right now, probably in the form of a glass panel so that the visitors’ view of the penguins isn’t obscured.”

Mug Shot Of The Year: Korin Vanhouten goes cosmic

MUG Shot of The Day – and possibly of the year (compare and contrast) features the face of 47-year-old Korin Vanhouten, who along with Eldon Alexander, 36, has been arrested for shoplifting. While Vanhouten (any distinguishing features, officer?) and Alexander were being questioned by the police at WinCo Foods in Ogden, Utah, someone broke into their car and took a stereo, ciggies and a ..drum machine.

Having been released by the police, the shoplifters then flag down a police car to report ther break in to their own vehicle.

You, of course, want to know what was shoplifted. Well, Alexander and Vanhouten were caught stealing makeup, energy bars and batteries. All three may well explain the look of cosmic shock on Vanhouten’s face.

THE people at  Severn Trent’s sewage treatment works in Monkmoor, Shrewsbury, have showcased a job lot of dentures recovered in the system. You can see all the teeth here.

But how do teeth get into the system? The company suggests they fall down plugs holes. But surely U-bends would catch them. Manchester United fan floods French villa in failed seduction

ANYONE know the name of the 31-year-old British Manchester United fan who broke into a home in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Nice, and attempted the fill the roof-top pool with water only to fail and flood the property?

The story goes that the romantic was attempting to woo an American woman. Before filling the pool – and the house – with water with outside showers and garden hoses, our hero chilled the champagne, lit candles, sprinkled rose petals round a bed, erected a black pirate flag, and pinned to the walls images of Winnie the Pooh and Manchester United.

Minnesota school gives students an incest practical

MINNESOTA school Rosemount High – now twinned with schools in Motherwell –  has been encouraging mums and dads to get off their children. The children at the pep rally (for what? the web-footed swim team?) are blindfolded. The loving mums and dad are not.

City Pages reports:

Footage of the assembly shows a scene that would make even Sigmund Freud cringe. Dads kissing daughters. Mothers kissing sons.

And these are not just innocent pecks on the lips. The parents are intimately lip-locking their children for several seconds. One even progresses to rolling around on the gym floor. In another instance, a mother moves her son’s hand south so he’s grasping her butt.
