I Am Kevin Costner Junior
“KEVIN Costner is looking pretty pleased with life,” says Hello!.
Costner, star of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (“I am Kevin Costner, Prince of Thieves”), The Bodyguard (“I am Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard”) and the Postman (“I am Kevin Costner, The Postman”), is holding his younger wife’s tummy.
Christine Baumgartner, for it is she, is 19 years younger than 52-year-old Kevin and so well suited to pregnancy.
“I didn’t know I could love someone so much,” says Kevin. “I’ve found a girl who is in love with me, not with what I do.”
Those of us who saw Kevin in Waterworld (“I am washed up”) will wonder that the German-born Christine loves him in spite of what he does.
Whatever the critique, Kevin and Christine are expecting a baby boy on May 10. It will be a brother for Kevin’s two grown up children, the ones he had with his first wife Cindy Silva. And a bother to Liam, who Kevin sired by way of one Bridget Rooney.
“I’m excited. The kids are excited,” says Kevin. “Our whole family is looking forward to it very much and we’re so happy.”
Christine is happy to, deliriously so. “When I watched the ultrasound picture, I had the feeling that he would look like Kevin,” says she.
As for names, the couple have yet to decide. But let us not rule out the obvious – Kevin Costner Junior.
