Luiz Felipe Scolari At Chelsea
CHELSEA have named Luiz Felipe Scolari as their new manager.
Here’s what the papers said this morning:
Chelsea are set to receive a second snub from AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti, who they want as their new manager. (Daily Mirror)
But Portugal manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has hinted that he may be ready to ‘live and work in another country’, increasing speculation he could be about to join Chelsea. (Daily Mail).

Oh come on Mic, we’re just ordinary gals I am sure.
June 12th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Doing it with football boots on?
You two gels are just too kinky for me…I’m off.
June 12th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
I’d have let him keep them on!
June 12th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Trust me Mic if I’d been there he would have signed the boots, delivered them personally AND paid the £10,000 himself.
June 12th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Nosey,
Too bloody right!
There was a charity auction at the do. One item was a pair of yer man’s boots, which he came up on stage and signed for the lucky winner, and then posed with him for a few photos.
Given that the winner only forked out a mere £10,000 for the privilege, I’m sure you could have outbid him, had you been there…..or are you not THAT keen on Ronaldo?

Mic
You only posted that to make me flounce off in a jealous huff…
June 12th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Noseycow I just felt the splattering of liquid. I assume it is from the raspberry and not Ronnie.
June 12th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
Hi Nosey,
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to kick young Cristiano in the shins at the posh Old Trafford dinner as I promised.
Our table was however, right next to where all the award winners had to walk to get up on stage, and I has ample opportunity to stick out a leg and trip him up seeing as he picked up 3 awards that night. the food was excellent thouigh, and i reckon I’d have had to forfeit my sweet and free wine if I’d legged up the star of the show, and given his reputation for diving, I kept my feet to myself.
I did get to call Denis Law ‘a scruffy git’ on the way in though, cos he didn’t have his bow tie on. He seemed to find it suitably amusing.
That was my main claim to fame for the evening.

At times like these we need a rasberry blowing smiley
June 12th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
OK. I’ll keep Ronaldo warm for you…
June 12th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
You should have seen hubby (usually mild mannered) during the champions league final.
Must confess I was laughing lots
anyway school run
catch you later
June 12th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
Now all that sounds like a recipe for violence. How much more rivalry can you get into one household!
June 12th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
I don’t get much choice in our house.
Hubby & daughter are avid chelsea fans, eldest son lives for arsenal, and youngest son could cut his arm off and ManU would be written through it! My Sunderland hardly ever get a look in.
Both sons train with Leicester City, and youngest with Birmingham also (the fact that both these teams were demotted is a COINCIDENCE honestly).
All three kids play and hubby coaches one of the local teams.
I am particularly fond of washing football kit and playing hunt the matching footy sock
June 12th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
Yes I quite like footy. I have only really watched Portugal in the Euros for obvious reasons.
I have been known to go to games too.
I take it you are a keen?
June 12th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
Aren’t all the trendy teams?
Couldn’t get over the amount of goals they let in.
Do you watch footy much?
June 12th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Italy! No, poor you. Actually I haven’t seen Italy play. Aer they still wearing figure-hugging shirts?
June 12th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Melanie - you were right first time as the portugal goalie is a umm touch weak.
Unfortunately I drew Italy in the sweepstake
June 12th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
Well I would have loved to share that back seat with him.
I saw some of the game last night. I think Ronaldo, sorry Portugal, will win the competition.
June 12th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
Melanie
No I’m not from Sunderland - but my parents were and as a kid I used to go to Roker Park when visiting the relly’s…
June 12th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
Melanie
He’s been the sexiest, most gorgeous, lovable, talented, and INTELLIGENT player in my books for a while now.
Youngest son is a man u fan, we went to old trafford to see a pre season freindly (£5 tickets
).
After the match we found ourselves by the players exit. All the players (including subs & those not on the first team) rolled out in flash cars, but not Mr Ronaldo. He was in the back seat of a 10+ year old small Renault, noone would give it a second glance out on the roads. How clever is that?
Did you see him last night? wow I could go on and on and on and on….
June 12th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
Noseycow are you from Sunderland?
June 12th, 2008 at 3:10 pm
Noseycow you would be interested in this then:
“Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo has been voted the sexiest player of Euro 2008 by a German magazine. ”
Finally something worthwhile from (a) a German magazine and (b) from football!
June 12th, 2008 at 3:10 pm
Melanie
Who cares
June 12th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Is that a loan from Real Madrid or a loan from Man United?
June 12th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Mic
He knows about Ronaldos free loan to Sunderland next season
June 12th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Great stuff!
He’s a character, and we need more of them; not just in football, but in life in general.
Outspoken (but not in English), uncomromising, and as daft as a box of frogs.
I’m not a Chelsea fan, but I look forward to seeing him and his exasperated interpreter in post-match interviews.
