Imagine you’re in a parking lot and suddenly see a car drive by with a 3-year old child sitting on top it. That’s exactly what happened in Marathon in the Florida Keys and now a grandmother faces a felony child abuse charge.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Publix supermarket Tuesday and arrested 54-year-old Brenda Bouschet, of Lake Worth, after she was spotted driving around with her three-year-old granddaughter on the roof of her car.
Bouschet told deputies she didn’t understand why she was wrong to place the 3-year-old girl on the roof of the car and drive her white 2006 Lexus around the parking lot. Bouschet said she was just giving the child some air and letting her have fun.

coco, continuing to hit at the mcanns for a mistake that they have to live with for the rest of their lives, is just plain mean. Lets not mix issues here, yes they made a stupid mistake, careless, negligent etc but for chrissake haven’t they paid a big enough price for that one lapse of judgement!!!!

Julie - it was in the US!! I was in Florida a few years ago and I saw a dog being walked on a lead - it had a wig on! I am absolutely serious. The woman who looked reasonably sane, was dragging along a dog with a wig on its head. SO, a car with a kid on the top? Hey that could be normal!! Bloody nutters!
