CELEBRITY Quote of the Day: Nicholas Cage Exercises His Ghosts
Cage has a mansion in New Orleans - “It’s allegedly the most severely haunted house in the United States of America… that’s what they tell me. So at any given moment, I have five or six ghosts surrounding the house, all looking up at this haunted temple.”
So can any hack of ghost hunter spend the night there?
“I won’t let them in - because of respect. If there’s something in there, I don’t want them being exploited”
Says Cage in the, er, press…

One of the pleasures of Anorak is solving the puzzles set out in the original articles. Some say it’s his medication, some say it’s his age. I think he just does it on purpose

Five or six “Ghost Tours” surround the house, not “ghosts”. That would make no sense that ghost are surrounding the house looking up at this haunted temple. “Ghost Tours” which are common in New Orleans are groups of tourists led by ghost and New Orleans history “officionados” roaming the French Quarter. They stop at every haunted spot. It is often that several tours converge on the same spot at the same time. As for sleeping there, I am sure that the man doesn’t want to stress out his wife and child. If it was another “hobby” say- skydiving, would he be throwing his family out of the plane? I doubt it. He will get around to sleeping there on his own I am sure. He buys the houses for investments, and the haunted one is kinda fun. I think so, anyway. So, get the quotes right, or at least get them to make sense. If Nick wants a drinking partner to hang out with him at the house on Halloween, I’m sure I could get permission from my wife.

Quite right too; what’s the point of laying out a load of dosh on a haunted house if you are going to let any Tom, Dick or Clarrie get the media coverage?
