British College Bans Easter And Christmas
CHRISTMAS is… banned. Easter… The bunny is dead. Sarah Palin got it.
BOSSES at Yorkshire Coast College have removed the words Christmas and Easter from their calendar so as not to cause offence to ethnic minorities or religious groups.
The Evening News was tipped off about the move by an outraged member of staff who described the college as “a joke” and Scarborough MP Robert Goodwill has slammed the initiative as…
As..?
“…political correctness gone mad”.
Hurrah!

oh dear, let’s not get into that, pleeeease??
Christmas makes people happy and for that reason alone we should keep it…

I don’t believe this, now you are actually blaming America for the commercialism of Christmas? Who said you HAVE to copy and obey America on anything - give yourselves a break and develop balls and do your own things over there without having to look and see what we are up to! Furthermore, those are not a true statements you made - stop blaming America for all your ills.
May I ask what bombing of thousands of innocent people you are speaking of?

xmas is nothing more than a shopping frenzy designed to get people into debt, fall out with family members and eat 3 times your own body weight in rich food.
result - 2 or 3 months of misery.
easter is just an excuse to sell huge amounts of egg shaped chocolate to stupid people
result - stupid people with sticky mouths
i can see very clearly that this may upset minority religions in this country such as the Christians who’s churches are empty and who’s religious festivals have been hi jacked by BIG BUSINESS and whats more you really have to feel for these Christians because Santa has replaced Jesus as the figurehead of the festival of xmas.
so in effect the Christians are upset because Santa - a fictional character has replaced jesus - a fictional character .
whats more all this comes from America because it is they who made these festivals the commercial monster we see today.
but as we all know WE MUST ALL COPY AND OBAY AMERICA
even when they bomb thousands of innocent people because america’s god is the real god
money

No. 1 son is from the Charlie Chan movies if memory serves.
September 15th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
You have outread me again, chenier. It’s more Toler or Oland as Charlie Chan…and No:1 Son is a girl by the way - I don’t have a gay son. Though that would be okay too.

You lost me at ‘executables’, though I liked the reference to Number: 1 Son.
Faint tones of Kai Lung…
September 15th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
Nope. As you’ll have guessed by now, I tend toward the outrĂ© non-sequitur. Now that my loinfruit seem to no longer need constant steering away from trouble (with the exception of No:1 Son, who has just split with the first boyfriend I could actually stand), I also fart about with my ‘puter. Changing the text inside all the executables and programming a female AI that hurls abuse at me are just two of the pointless ways I fill my days.

Mint cake?
Is this some esoteric piece of computer lore?
Bearing in mind that my expertise extends to being able to turn it on and off.
Or a really, dreadfully bad pun…..
September 15th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
PC gone mad! Not the article. My PC…it keeps telling me drive C: is full of mint cake.

Hey towel heads! We have Christmas and Easter - get over it you bunch of retards.
There, that should go some way to restoring the offence balance.
September 15th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
This is all part of a racist plot to make us all hate Moslems, and to consider them stupid, backward, and intolerant. ( Which they may well be, but that is another story)
The bosses are clearly in the pay of the BNP, and should be sacked for racism

I’m extremely offended that Anokra saw fit to omit that well known festivity Chenier Day from his comments; why tackle things in such a cavalier fashion?
September 15th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
hell yeah
September 15th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
I think being offended by omission is a darned good idea!!!
September 15th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Well what about the majority that might be offended by the omission of the words? Right that is it. From now on I am not going to be politically correct. I’m gonna say what I want and if it offends anyone…. tough shit.

Killjoys; the bloody Roundheads did much the same thing, and look where it got them…
