Aaah, you may mock but I have been caught out by that! Whoosh went the new automatic doors at the hospital, splat I went backwards only just managing to stay on my feet. I did feel very silly, I had expected them to slide.
now I approach with caution but they must have caught others because there is a notice on them now saying exactly the same as above.
One has to get close enough to operate them but stay far enough away to not get smacked in the mouth. Quite a feat IMO.
